Frequently Asked Questions

What It’s Like to Work with a Commercial Food Photographer

What is the core value of your service?

My core product is my process. The outcome of that process is your vision brought to life through photography and cinematography. Each step ensures a two-way partnership with full transparency, seamless communication, and intentional execution.

What does the process look like?

The process is designed to move efficiently from idea to execution while maintaining clear communication and focus. Here is an overview of the steps:

  1. Idea
You reach out with an idea to kick things off.

  2. Foundation
We meet via Zoom or phone to establish and internalize the foundational goals of your project.

  3. Visual Identity
You provide a brief or mood board along with a detailed shot list to define the visual direction.

  4. Preparation
I build a custom proposal tailored to your project goals.

  5. Partnership
You review the proposal, request adjustments if necessary, and finalize by signing the contract and making payment.

  6. Plan
Together, we select project dates and create a detailed timeline.

  7. Alignment
I assemble an expert team and outline all aspects of the shoot logistics.

  8. Shoot
We bring your vision to life during the shoot. You can join us on set or participate virtually via Zoom.

  9. Refinement
After the shoot, we allow 1-2 weeks for edits. You’re entitled to 1-2 rounds of revisions.

  10. Editing and Retouching
Final edits and retouching bring the project to its finished form.

  11. Delivery
Final photos are delivered, and the remaining balance is settled.

  12. Feedback
You share your final feedback, and we prepare you for launching the work.

Post-Process:
If you ever need to extend usage rights, you can always reach out for adjustments.

Can I be involved in the creative process?

Absolutely! The process is designed to be collaborative. You’ll provide a brief and shot list, and you’re welcome to join the shoot in person or via Zoom. Your input is encouraged every step of the way.

What if I need changes after the shoot?

You’re entitled to 1-2 rounds of edits during the refinement phase. This ensures the final product meets your expectations while keeping the process efficient.

What happens after the photos are delivered?

Once the final photos are delivered and the project is complete, you’ll have the chance to provide feedback. If you need to extend usage rights in the future, I’m happy to assist.

How long does the entire process take?

The timeline varies depending on the project’s complexity. However, most projects move smoothly through the outlined steps, with editing and retouching completed within 1-2 weeks post-shoot.

What makes your process unique?

Transparency, collaboration, and precision are at the heart of my process. By focusing on clear communication and intentional execution, I ensure your vision is realized with creativity and efficiency.
